Visitors to this site?!

I put up this site early in June, and it's been mostly dormant since then; I've been wondering what to do with it.
Today I clicked on the STATS button to see what that would do.

To my surprise, MUCH to my surprise in fact, it seems people have been visiting the site while I've been away, otherwise engaged. I've checked quite carefully - 11 visits on 13 July for example, and I KNOW that wasn't me looking at the site as rarely as I do.

So - if people ARE looking at this site, I thought I should try to update the content a bit, and adding a blog seemed a way to start to do that, and perhaps even to find out who those visitors might be.

People are still viewing your site here, well - I am at least.
I first saw you perform on Buchanan street over 10 years ago; I was so entranced with your music that I bought your album immediately. You may remember, I was wearing a bright red, full length leather jacket.
It was treasured until I misplaced it during a move, I was devastated!
Do you still have any copies?

Hi Sam,
Good to hear from you and thank you for your kind comments. Yes I can do you a copy of the CD if you want. Just let me know how I can get it to you.
Regards,
John

Hi John - you probably won't remember me - an Australian guy who lived in Glasgow for a few years between 1998 to 2004 and always enjoyed listening to your music on Buchanan St. Bought 'At Home In The Street' and 'In Search of Scotland' - in fact went to the launch at Borders! Stumbled over your blog recently while organising my next trip back to Scotland in December and looking for music venues. I still play your music here in Margaret River on my 'It's Morning' playlist. Anyway just thought I'd say g'day and hope you're doing well. Best wishes

Hi Richard, thanks for getting in touch, it's always a great pleasure to hear from people back in the busking days.
I'm delighted to hear that CD is still on your playlist over there in Australia!
Over the years, I've had many warm friendly mails from people I met on the street, many good memories from back then. Good feelings!
Many thanks,
John

... and, as the quote on my website says,
"The past is never dead..."
